The bay tree is a beautiful eye-catcher on your terrace or in your garden. This herb grows to 50 cm high and has dark green leaves that end in a sharp point. Its enemy? Winter frost, but with some care you can keep this herb all year round.
Laurel is best grown in a pot so that it can be given a sheltered spot in winter.
Laurel enjoys a spot where sun and shade alternate.
Bay laurel may be watered now and again. The top layer of soil should always be slightly moist. But do not give this herb 'wet feet', otherwise the roots may rot.
In the summer months, give extra feed once a month.
Pruning is not necessary.
